Homeowner Leaders Council Charter


This Council represents homeowner leader and homeowner members.

​Make-Up

The Homeowner Leaders Council will consist of six (6) members who are Homeowner Leader members.

​​Roles

Relativ​​e to the Board of Trustees

  • Give input on policy matters to CAI's Board of Trustees
  • Elect two members of the Homeowner Leaders Council to serve on the Board of Trustees
  • Appoint one Homeowner Leader to serve on the Nominating Committee to fill open at-large positions on the Board of Trustees
  • Appoint two Homeowner Leaders to serve on the Government and Public Affairs Committee

​​​Relative to CAI Staff

  • Make recommendations on Education Curriculum
  • Make recommendations on Designations
  • Make recommendations on Best Practices
  • Provide other input and make recommendations as requested by CEO and staff

​​Autonomous

Identify what is of value to the Homeowner Leaders.

​​​Terms

  • Council members shall serve 2-​year terms.
  • In general, a Council member may not serve more than 6 years.

​​​​​Election of Members

Each year, Homeowner Leader members will have the opportunity to nominate themselves for a position on the Homeowner Leaders Council. The Homeowner Leaders will then vote for members of the Council via an online election.
