 We seek an ambitious technical strategist who is an effective team and project leader to take CAI to the next level of member and staff satisfaction.

Director of Information Technology (IT)

The IT director is responsible for maintaining all technology operations to include association management software, network management, telecommunications management, system and data security, data storage infrastructure and web applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain membership database integrity, functionality, and alignment with external websites. Lead process in researching, developing, and implementing any changes to association management system.
  • Lead development and implementation processes for IT infrastructure, networking and software projects, working with vendors to ensure quality and delivery.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring that third-party IT services are aligned with the company's overall goals.
  • Ensure proper security of systems, networks and enterprise information.
  • Research and recommend new software and hardware solutions to meet the needs of the Association.
  • Develop and manage department operating and capital hardware/software budgets.
  • Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management.

Requirements:

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 8 years of progressive IT experience, preferably in the not-for-profit/association industry. 

  • Must possess comprehensive knowledge of all facets of information technology planning, development, implementation, and support.
  • Must demonstrate experience in technology acquisition, project management and policy development.
  • Must maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends and best practices.
  • Must be an experienced leader with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse group of individuals.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (written and verbal) across departments and collaborate with staff to assess business needs and recommend IT solutions. ​
