Welcome to Community Association Roundtable ™

First meeting will be held in September 2026

Community Associations Institute is establishing the Community Association Roundtable to collaborate on policy, regulatory, and legislative issues that impact housing in condominiums, housing cooperatives, homeowners associations, and planned communities in the United States.

CAI envisions the Community Association Roundtable as a public policy and advocacy roundtable composed of nongovernmental organizations designed to promote the interests of community association, housing, and homeownership entities in the United States. Community Association Roundtable will advance the best interests of professionals who educate, advocate, and support housing-related entities nationwide.

Community Association Roundtable Participants: Membership in the roundtable is available to organizations that meet any of the following eligibility criteria and other requirements established by CAI, including:

  • Stand-alone nongovernmental organizations such as commissions, boards, agencies, or other organizations that provide education or advocacy to housing-related issues.
  • National and/or state nonprofit trade associations, professional societies, or similar organizations that focus on housing-related issues.
  • For-profit organizations with public policy representatives that advocate on issues aligned with Community Associations Institute public policy issues.

Key Objectives for the Community Association Roundtable:

  • Align stakeholders on shared federal and state policy issues and priorities.
  • Strengthen housing industry cross-sector collaboration.
  • Monitor and respond to federal and state legislative and regulatory activity that supports the mission of the roundtable.
  • Work with lawmakers to advance legislation that increases homeownership access and affordability.
  • Translate stakeholder research into actionable policy and legislative recommendations.
  • Build relationships with legislators through the roundtable.
  • Compile annual state-of-the-housing-industry report.
  • Host housing industry events, workshops, and opportunities.
  • Address current and future threats to housing in the United States
  • Distribute tangible items such as policy briefs, roundtable letters, research development, and pilot initiatives.

Roundtable Connection Format: Quarterly Zoom meetings with in-person gatherings as necessary. First meeting will be held in September 2026.
