In 2021, the Champlain Towers South condominium in Surfside, Fla., partially collapsed, claiming the lives of 98 people and forever changing countless others. The tragedy remains one of the most devastating in the history of community associations.
Since that day, CAI has remained at the forefront of efforts to advance legislative and regulatory reforms that support building safety standards, responsible reserve funding, and the long-term maintenance of communities. Working with industry experts, legislators, and community association advocates, CAI continues to advocate for policies that create safer, more resilient communities.
We promise to never be complacent, never forget, and never stop working to protect the safety of the communities we serve. CAI remains dedicated to providing education, resources, and support to improve condominium safety.
