Priority Lien for Collecting Delinquent Assessments

New Report by the Nevada Association of Realtors' an Outrageous Assault on Nevada's Condominium and HOA Residents

The Nevada's Homeowners' Association Super Priority Lien report released on July 5, 2017, is a direct attack on consumer protections in place to protect the property value and investment of more than 500,000 residents living in Nevada community associations.

CAI endorses legislation that provides community associations with an assessment lien priority equal to the amount of assessments that are due over the term of the lien of a first mortgage or deed of trust.

Currently, 21 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico have assessment priority lien statutes.
