Community Associations Institute (CAI) Partners with Saudi Real Estate Institute (SREI)
CAI and Housing Ministry sign agreement to bring professional community management education courses to the Saudi Kingdom.

Aug. 21, 2017 — Falls Church, VA — Community Associations Institute (CAI) announced today a strategic partnership with the newly inaugurated Saudi Real Estate Institute (SREI). This month, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Housing launched the SREI as a new training institute dedicated to the real estate sector and will offer services provided by the world's leading public and private institutions specializing in real estate and housing education and training.

For nearly 45 years, CAI has been the leading international authority in community association living—while advocating for the 69 million Americans and the millions worldwide who live in homeowners associations (HOAs), condominium communities, cooperatives, and other planned communities.

During the Aug. 2 ceremony, Thomas M. Skiba, CAE, CAI's chief executive officer, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), a formal agreement between Community Associations Institute and the Saudi Real Estate Institute to bring CAI's Professional Management Development Program (PMDP), a comprehensive community association management curriculum, to the Saudi real estate and housing workforce. CAI offers four levels of courses designed to give new community managers a knowledge base and experienced managers a deeper understanding of all aspects of association management. CAI courses will be taught in Arabic and focus on topics that include insurance, finance, leadership, governance, and communications.

"CAI is pleased to be a strategic partner with the Saudi Real Estate Institute and we look forward to showcasing CAI's professional education for community managers," said Skiba. "Working together, we will provide world-class, affordable education that aligns Saudi professionals to their international colleagues who have long demonstrated a strong sense of commitment and expertise to their communities."

SREI partners include: Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), Small & Medium Enterprises General Authority, Job Creation Commission, Human Resources Development Fund, University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), IE Business School, National University of Singapore School of Design and Environment, British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM), InterNATCHI, and LinkedIn.
