CAI Hosts 2018 Annual Conference and Exposition and One-Day Advocacy Summit May 9-12 in Washington, D.C.

1/11/2018  -  Falls Church, VA

Largest international gathering for homeowners, community managers, and professionals serving community associations worldwide

Jan. 11, 2018 — Falls Church, VA — To celebrate the people who live and serve in the millions of homeowners associations, condominiums, and cooperatives worldwide, Community Associations Institute (CAI) will proudly present “We the Community" at the 2018 CAI Annual Conference and Exposition, May 9–12, in Washington, D.C.

CAI—the international authority in community association governance, education, and management—will host this quintessential annual event, bringing together nearly 2,000 homeowner leaders, community managers, and the other professionals who serve community associations.

The three-day conference, to be held at the elegant Marriott Washington Wardman Park Hotel adjacent to the National Zoo and Rock Creek Park, will kick off with keynote speakers Cam Marston and Katty Kay. Marston is recognized as the leading expert on generational changes and their impact on the marketplace. Kay is a BBC World News America anchor and will offer global insights on economic and political trends reshaping organizations today.

CAI understands that community associations increasingly are being called on to play a significant role in the way we live, learn, work, and play. By addressing this year's theme, “We the Community," CAI believes the community as a whole—with its unique mix of cultural identities, socioeconomic backgrounds, religious beliefs, and more—represents the truly physical and cultural reality of today's world.

“CAI's conference is the premier destination for industry leaders to gather, share ideas, and network with community association peers from around the world," says Thomas M. Skiba, CAE, CAI's chief executive officer. “Continuing its tradition for showcasing world-class education and information services, attendees will sharpen their professional skills with 30 high-level education sessions and pre-conference courses. In addition, CAI's exposition hall will feature more than 160 companies and professional services that support community association living."

New this year, CAI will host a one-day Advocacy Summit on Tues., May 8, during which community association leaders will have an opportunity to meet with their Congressional representatives and provide them with information regarding federal and state legislative priorities.

A new mobile-friendly 2018 Annual Conference and Exposition website has been created to provide attendees with easy access to essential event details and a seamless user-friendly experience from registration to evaluation.

Registration for the event is open to both CAI members and nonmembers. For online registration, visit www.caionline.org/AnnualConference. Follow the Annual Conference hashtag, #CAI2018, to take part in the conversation.
