CAI Awards More Than 300 Career-Enhancing Credentials in First Half of 2017

25 community association managers earn most prestigious designation

Community Associations Institute (CAI), the leading authority for community association education, governance, and management has awarded its most prestigious and respected designation—Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM)—to 25 community association professionals in the first six months of 2017. With these additions, now more than 2,850 managers have reached the pinnacle of community association management.

CAI also has awarded 254 other career-enhancing credentials and distinctions between Jan. 1 and June 30: 

  • Association Management Specialist (AMS)—237 association professionals were awarded the AMS, the second level in the career development track. There are now more than 8,000 total AMS recipients.
  • Large-Scale Manager (LSM)—Two association professionals were awarded the LSM, a specialist designation that allows PCAM designees to specialize within their profession. There are now close to 100 community managers with this credential.
  • Reserve Specialist (RS)—11 association professionals were awarded the RS, a designation that prepares professionals to develop extensive reserve plans for communities. There are now 330 professionals with this designation.
  • Educated Business Partner (EBP)—68 association professionals were awarded the EBP, a distinction that empowers both businesses and professionals to be even more competitive in the marketplace. There are now more than 230 professionals with this recognition.
