The Community Associations Institute recently announced that the Anaheim Hilton Hotel will be the site of its 48th National Conference, May 4-6, 2000. About 1,000 community association managers, homeowners, attorneys, tax and insurance professionals, researchers, builder/developers and providers of services and products to associations are expected to attend.

"Orange County is an ideal location for our national show, heavily populated as it is with common interest developments," said Barbara Byrd Keenan, CAE, president of CAI. "The attractions and climate of Anaheim are sure to make it a popular destination for our conference-goers."

CAI's Orange County chapter is the oldest in the country, founded in 1976, and one of the largest. Lisa Klasky, chapter president, and principal of Progressive Community Management, Mission Viejo, said, "We are thrilled to host CAI's National Conference, which brings the latest educational resources on effective community association management to the more than 3,000 associations in the area." Terri Meyers, Burdman & Benson, Newport Beach, will chair the CAI Orange County Chapter National Conference Host Committee.

The Community Associations Institute is a nonprofit association created in 1973 to educate and represent the nation's 205,000 community associations—condominium associations, homeowner associations and cooperatives. CAI members include homeowners, associations and related professionals and service providers.
