CAI Welcomes Four National Corporate Members

2/1/2005  -  Alexandria, VA

Avgar, Ian H. Graham Insurance, Kislak Bank and NCB, FSB (A National Cooperative Bank Company) have brought to seven the number of Community Associations Institute (CAI) members taking advantage of CAI's national corporate membership.

CertainTeed Corporation, SmartStreet (Community Association Division of First Capital Bank) and Community Association Banc were CAI's first national corporate members.

This special membership allows company representatives to be active in each CAI chapter for far less than the cost of 55 individual chapter memberships. National corporate members also can take advantage of:

  • Member discounts on advertising in CAI's award-winning magazine, Common Groundâ„¢.
  • Member discounts on exhibit space at CAI national conferences.
  • Sponsorship opportunities at CAI conferences and seminars.
  • Member pricing on professional designations and education courses.
  • Subscriptions for each chapter contact to Common Groundâ„¢ and chapter periodicals.
  • A free listing in CAI's online product and service provider directory and one free mailing list rental per year.
  • Use of CAI's national corporate member logo, signifying the firm's special relationship with CAI.

"We're pleased to have these companies as national corporate members and confident they will benefit from more extensive involvement in CAI," said CAI Chief Executive Officer Thomas M. Skiba. "National corporate membership is the most cost-effective way for companies to have direct access to potential clients in every CAI chapter. This benefits our chapters, our members and the product and service providers that take advantage of this unique membership opportunity."

AVGAR has been providing cutting-edge accounting and management software specifically developed for the HOA industry since 1982. The firm's core module includes accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger, and can be expanded to include assessment collection, CC&R violations, work-order maintenance, elections, utility tracking and website development and hosting. With a custom website in place, AVGAR's Web-Direct module allows homeowners to view real-time personal account information, such as the billing status of payments received and charges applied, unresolved CC&R violations, architectural submittals and work order information.
