More than 15 members, eight chapters and three chapter executive directors were recognized for special achievement during Community Association Institute's recent National Conference and Exposition in Las Vegas. Held at Caesars Palace, the conference was the largest event in CAI history, with more than 1,300 people in attendance.

CAI's prestigious President's Award was given to 2006 President-elect Ronald L. Perl, Esq. The recipient of the award is selected annually by the CAI President.

"I was extremely fortunate to have Ron's active involvement and input during my term," says 2006 CAI President Ross W. Feinberg, Esq. "Ron is a man of integrity and dignity who supported me in countless ways during the year, and that's in addition to all he's done for CAI and the industry since joining the Institute more than 20 years ago. I hope we set a standard that future CAI leaders can emulate. The president and president-elect can accomplish far more working together than either can individually."

• Member Services: Dallas/Fort Worth; Pennsylvania and Delaware Valley; Suncoast; Wisconsin.
• Public Affairs: Dallas/Ft. Worth; Greater Houston; Pennsylvania and Delaware Valley.
• Chapter Excellence: Pennsylvania and Delaware Valley. This composite award is given to chapters that score an average of 80 percent or better in each of the five achievement areas.
• Best Net Growth: New Hampshire (59 percent); Georgia (47 percent); Hudson Valley (45 percent); Pennsylvania and Delaware Valley (32 percent).
• Best Net Retention: Hudson Valley (90 percent); Western New York (88 percent); Pennsylvania and Delaware Valley (87 percent); Hawaii (84 percent).
