June 28, 2017 — Falls Church, VA — Community Associations Institute (CAI), the leading international authority in community association education, governance, and management, is proud to be recognized by the Association Media & Publishing, a premier membership organization serving the needs of association publishers, communications professionals, and designers.

Association professionals from around the country gathered at the Doubletree Hotel in Crystal City, Va., on Monday, June 26, for the 2017 EXCEL Awards Gala, an annual event to recognize excellence and leadership in nonprofit association media, publishing, and communications.

CAI's 2017 Education Catalogue received a Silver EXCEL award in the Promotional Content category at the event. The catalogue provides descriptions of the most comprehensive, expert education courses for community association management professionals seeking to increase their skills, knowledge, and job opportunities.

CAI's Community Next: 2020 and Beyond, the results of an initiative launched in 2015 to define the future of the community association housing model, received a Bronze EXCEL award in the Promotional Content – Special Report category. This in-depth document includes four targeted reports and represents the best thinking and collaboration of several dozen CAI leaders and nonmember community association stakeholders.

CAI's widely popular bi-monthly newsletter Community Manager accepted two awards, including a Silver EXCEL award in the Newsletter – Design Excellence category and a Bronze EXCEL in the Newsletter – General Excellence category. Written for and about community association management professionals, Community Manager has a circulation of more than 14,500 readers worldwide.
