2017 Large-Scale Managers Workshop

Sugar Land, TX  | September 13-16, 2017

Dear Large-Scale Managers Workshop Attendees and Sponsors,

Sandy Denton and Cary Kelley, our 2017 Workshop hosts, have determined after assessing the surrounding area it is best for their communities, all registrants and sponsors to cancel this year’s Workshop due to the catastrophic damage caused by Hurricane Harvey.

Cancellation & Information: Large-Scale Managers Workshop:

There are a few details we want to share as we move through this cancellation process.

  1. Hotel: Many of you volunteered to pay for evacuees sleeping rooms at the Marriott. The Marriott was overwhelmed with your generous offer to help and will work directly with you to assign your room to evacuees and/or volunteers that come to the city to help with the recovery.

Please email our contact, Stephanie Chang, directly so she can work with you.

  2. Airlines and Rental Cars: We recommend you contact your airline and car rental company as soon as possible to negotiate a refund or credit.

  3. Registration/Sponsorship Fees: CAI will be refunding or crediting all fees within the next few weeks. Please be patient as we work through the process.

  4. Education Credits:  CAI will work with you to offer an extension if this Workshop was critical to your redesignation.

Lastly, Cary and Sandy wish to thank all the managers who offered to get their hands dirty helping in the communities instead of tours. “That was awesome!” (direct from Cary).  The recovery at their respective communities and Houston as a whole is the focus. They appreciate your support during this unpresented storm and recovery.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly at cwallace@caionline.org or (703) 970-9231.
