Community Associations Institute’s Phoebe Neseth Appointed to ASAE’s Advocacy Council

Appointment highlights CAI’s leadership in advocacy and public policy initiatives.

Community Associations Institute, the leading international authority supporting condominium associations, homeowners associations, and housing cooperatives, is proud to announce that Phoebe E. Neseth, Esq., vice president of government relations, public affairs & legal, has been appointed to the American Society of Association Executives Advocacy Council.

The Advocacy Council guides ASAE’s government relations and policy initiatives, advises on emerging issues, and strengthens programs for government relations & advocacy members.

Neseth, who joined CAI in 2017, leads advocacy efforts at the local, state, and federal levels. She manages legislative action committees nationwide and oversees legal initiatives, including CAI’s College of Community Association Lawyers.

“It’s an honor to represent CAI and join colleagues from across the association community on ASAE’s Advocacy Council,” says Neseth. “ASAE’s work helps ensure associations of all kinds can effectively serve their members and communities. I look forward to contributing to these important efforts.”

Earlier this year, CAI was honored with a 2025 Power of Associations Silver Award from ASAE for its successful advocacy campaign to exempt community associations from reporting requirements under the Corporate Transparency Act. Neseth’s appointment builds on this recognition and further demonstrates CAI’s leadership in association advocacy.

With more than 50,000 members, ASAE is the premier source of knowledge, research, and advocacy for the association and nonprofit profession. Its public policy initiatives highlight the power of associations and advance the work of organizations nationwide.
