To be eligible for a managers license in Illinois, individuals must complete 20 hours of approved prelicensure courses. CAI's M-100 course, both the classroom and online editions, are an approved 20-hour prelicensure course. In addition, individuals must pass the CMCA Exam and earn their Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) certification, offered by CAMICB.
The education requirement does not apply to persons holding an Illinois real estate salesperson, broker, or managing broker license in good standing. Continuing education requirements have yet to be determined.
