The CAI Nominating Committee is currently accepting self-nominations for two at-large positions on the CAI Board of Trustees. The positions may be filled by any combination of business partners, homeowner leaders, and managers, but only one manager can be selected this year. The two-year terms begin on January 1, 2018. Trustees may serve no more than three terms.
The 15-member Board of Trustees (including the President, President-Elect and Immediate Past President) is responsible for crafting policy and governing CAI. The Board meets at a retreat with the Membership Representation Groups each winter (Jan. 30-31, 2018, in Palm Springs, Calif.) in conjunction with the Annual Law Seminar, at the CAI Annual Conference (May 9-12, 2018, in Washington, D.C.), at the CAI headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia, each fall (2018 date to be determined), and via conference calls throughout the year. Trustees are responsible for their expenses to attend meetings; homeowner leaders receive stipends to offset their expenses.
Please review the qualifications at the bottom of this page carefully before submitting an application.
If you meet the qualifications and are interested in applying, you must submit a completed Trustee Self-Nomination Questionnaire via email by close of business Friday, September 29. The Nominating Committee will review all materials and may invite prospective candidates to participate in a telephone interview.
