Registration, Who Should Attend & Eligibility

Each fall, CAI's Large-Scale Managers Committee hosts an annual workshop exclusively for community managers specializing in large-scale communities. A large-scale community is defined as a community providing municipal type services with a minimum of 1,000 units or minimum of 1,000 acres and a minimum of $2 million operating budget.

The workshop is hosted by at least one large-scale community and participants spend 2.5 days touring properties and attending innovative education sessions specifically designed for the large-scale community manager. This Workshop may include full days away from the hotel touring communities without returning to the hotel.

The workshop will begin with registration on Wednesday and conclude Saturday before lunch.  Participants should plan to remain until early afternoon on Saturday, October 7.

Advanced registration will be available for 60 days and is limited to onsite large-scale general managers, assistant general managers and those with a current LSM designation. If you have questions about your eligibility, please email Crystal Wallace at cwallace@caionline.org.

The Workshop will be limited to 120 attendees and we do expect to sell-out. Early registration is strongly recommended.

The Workshop will be a walking/touring workshop. Be sure to bring your walking shoes and umbrellas. If anyone requires special accommodations, please reach out to Crystal Wallace at cwallace@caionline.org.

BEWARE OF
SCAMS

There are two primary scams in the association industry from fake third parties.

  1. Room Reservations: If you receive an email from a third party about booking your room - delete it as it's a SCAM. They want your credit card number. Sometimes the third party emails look real, they are NOT.

CAI works directly with the workshop hotel to create an online reservations link with the CAI discounted rate. CAI does not work with a third party company to book rooms.

Most recent scam is coming from ExhibitorsHub.com. They do not represent CAI or The Grand Bohemian.

  2. Purchase Attendee List:  Attendees and Exhibitors receive solicitations to purchase attendees lists for our events. CAI does not sell our attendee list. Delete this email, it's a SCAM.
