​CAI Policies

​Consent to Use of Photographic Images: Registration and attendance at, or participation in, 2020 CAI Legal Forum: California Communities, constitutes an agreement by the registrant to CAI's use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee's image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes.

Cancellation Policy

Full refunds will be issued if written cancellation is received at CAI by September 25, 2020. Cancellations received between September 26-October 2, 2020 are subject to a 50 percent administrative fee. Registration fees are not refundable after October 2, 2020. E-mail cancellations to cwallace@caionline.org. Substitutions may be made by e-mail until October 9, 2020. After this date, all changes must be made on site.

CAI Suitcasing Policy

CAI has a no-tolerance policy regarding "suitcasing," which describes the practice by non-sponsoring companies or individuals of soliciting sales or sales leads in the hotel, lobbies and/or representing their services or soliciting seminar participants, including social activities. Non-exhibiting suppliers participating in the seminar as attendees or speakers are prohibited from soliciting business in or after sessions, or in the hotel itself.

Violators of these policies will be charged the amount an exhibitor ($895), which must be paid prior to registering as an attendee, exhibitor or sponsor at any future CAI functions.

Private Party Policy:

All hospitality suites and hosted events must be reserved, approved and paid for through CAI. Hospitality suites / hosted events are not permitted during official Legal Forum activities. Non-sponsoring/exhibiting suppliers are not permitted to host events at the official hotel during the Legal Forum event (Oct 15-16, 2020). Violators of these policies will be ejected from the Legal Forum if applicable, and charged $895, which must be paid prior to registering as an attendee, exhibitor or sponsor at any future CAI event.

In order to provide all participants at events, including members and other attendees, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, employees, and volunteers, the opportunity to interact professionally and benefit from the event, CAI is committed to providing a safe and productive environment free of discrimination, h ostility, hara​ssment, and retaliation based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, citizenship, or any other characteristic protected by law. CAI has a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, harassment, and retaliation and is committed to enforcing this policy at all CAI events.
