2018 Law Seminar Distinguished Speakers

January 31-February 3, Palm Springs, Cali.

Congratulations! Your session was accepted for the 2018 Law Seminar. Below is the checklist and timeline for your materials. The PowerPoint template will be available in September 2017 that you will use when creating your visual presentation. 

 
Speaker Materials/Forms:

What Time Is My Program? Go to "Schedule" to find your session time slot. 


Handouts are due:

  • DRAFT - November 3, 2017
  • FINAL - December 1, 2017

Email outlines, handouts, and PowerPoint presentations to your Point of Contact (POC) and to Holly Carson (hcarson@caionline.org) via email. Refer to the "Speakers Packet" for expectations and suggestions when creating materials. Your POC will review all presentations before they are considered final.

Registration

Speakers need to register if planning to attend the Law Seminar. Registration is $649 by December 15, 2017 and $699 after December 15, 2017. The registration for Law Seminar includes all educations sessions, post-seminar recordings of all sessions, the 2018 Online Document Library, continental breakfasts, refreshment breaks, lunches, and a reception on Friday evening. 

Speaker's Webinar

If you are a first-time presenter you are required to listen to  a 30-minute, pre-recorded webinar on presentation techniques.

Law Seminar Online Document Library

All handouts will be provided in an online document library (in advance for download) and on the Law Seminar mobile app. The Law Seminar is a paper-free event.

Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Credits

Attorneys
CAI will submit for some state MCLEs but several states have made it more difficult for sponsors to submit and receive MCLEs. They prefer for the individual attorney to submit. We will indicate self-submitting states on the Law Seminar webpage once they have been confirmed.
You must be registered for and sign in each day to receive CLE credit. Sign-in will be at the registration desk.

Insurance Agents
Attention Insurance Agents: State continuing education units (CEU) for insurance agents is pending. Agents must complete all indicated sessions of the CIRMS Insurance Master's Program to earn CEUs.
