Where to Stay

Located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, this year's Retreat is at The Westin Alexandria. Conveniently located just 3 blocks from King Street Metro (yellow/blue lines) and the Alexandria Amtrak Station, and 5 miles from Ronald Reagan National Airport, The Westin Alexandria offers a complimentary shuttle service, fitness center, complimentary wi-fi, and discounted parking.

Discounted Room Rates

CAI has negotiated a discounted rate of $239 p/night (single/double occupancy). This rate expires August 25, 2017. The discounted rate is valid from September 21 – September 30, subject to availability. To take advantage of the discounted rate, make your reservations online at CAI CED Retreat and Advocacy Summit or ask for the CAI or CED Retreat and Advocacy Summit when you call (703) 253-8600 or (866) 837-4210 toll free.

Extend Your Stay

If you choose to arrive or depart outside the dates for which the discounted rate has been negotiated, the reservation link will not offer the extended dates. You will need to call The West Alexandria directly at (703) 253-8600 or (866) 837-4210 toll free. Need some help planning your trip?  Visit www.washington.org.

Money Saving Tips

  • Share a room.  Ask a fellow CED to share a room and split the cost. If you are interested in sharing a room and not sure who to ask, we'll work to pair you up with another CED.
  • Use hotel points. Some of you may receive meeting planner points from hotels you use for chapter events. These may be an option to pay for a portion of your hotel expenses.
  • Air miles/credit card points.

Note: If you stay in a hotel other than The Westin Alexandria, you will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the Retreat.
