​​HERE ARE A FEW RECRUITMENT TIPS:​

  • Visit the Member Benefits section of the website, review the benefits available to each member type and share the information (and links) on the appropriate pages. You can recruit:​​
>> ​  Community managers
>>   Association management companies
>>   Board members and other homeowner leaders
​>>   CAI Business Partners

  • ​Share your experiences about how CAI has helped you, your community, your career, and your business.
  • Pass along a recent issue of CAI's award-winning magazine, Common Ground. The magazine is available in print and digital formats.
  • Recommend a publication from CAI Press, the online bookstore.
  • Emphasize the importance of CAI's state and national advocacy programs.


    • ​​Share information about CAI's education programs.
    • Invite a prospective member to a chapter or national CAI event.
    • Highlight the personal and professional benefits of networking.
    • Refer a colleague to one of CAI's webinars. Direct prospective members to CAI's website.
    • Encourage a prospective member to visit CAI's Professional Services Directory - an excellent resource to find local service providers - and the Directory of Credentialed Professionals.
    • Tell them about members-only benefits such as:

      ​​>>   The CAI Exchange online community.
      ​​>>   Special member rates on all national and chapter events, education courses, and CAI Press. Member discount programs.

Since 2011, Tonya has been a tireless CAI advocate. She’s served various leadership roles in the Nevada Chapter Magazine Committee and engages with CAI chapters and outside groups, meeting many people, including those not familiar with CAI. She continues her successful recruitment efforts and was Recruiter of the Year in 2020, 2021 and 2022, demonstrating dedication to CAI and its mission. In 2022, she recruited 34 new members.​
