Advocacy Summit Information and Advocate Training

​​ We are excited to see you on Tuesday, May 8, for CAI's Advocacy Summit. In preparation for the Summit, the Government and Public Affairs team put together a series of short videos to prepare you for your day on the Hill. These videos highlight the agenda for the day, background on the issues we are advocating, and what to expect and ask at the meetings. HOUSING FINANCE REFORM

 

A lot of money is wrapped up in the housing finance system, and it is now left to Congress to reform. Worried? Us too. Ask your legislators if they intend to make the new system relatively easy to get an FHA-insured mortgage or match current lending requirements of FHA and will the new system protect state laws that assist associations from bad lending decisions.
