As a community association manager, the most important thing you can do to increase your earning potential and accelerate your career is to obtain training and credentials from CAI’s Professional Management Development Program (PMDP). Through the PMDP, CAI provides the most comprehensive, expert education courses for community managers seeking to increase their skills, knowledge and job opportunities.
CAI offers four levels of courses designed to give new managers a knowledge base and experienced managers a deeper understanding of all aspects of association management. Courses focus on such topics as insurance, finance, leadership, governance and communications.
Students who register for PMDP courses—either classroom or online—receive a complete package of topic-specific support materials that includes some or all of the following depending on the course*:
- A participant guide
- A CD full of sample documents, articles and other resources
- CAI publications (frequently titles from the popular Guides for Association Practitioners series)
- CAI pamphlets and catalogs
Classroom course materials are distributed on-site the first morning of class.
Online course participants will receive hard copy of the course materials 1-3 weeks after registration for future use, but is not intended to be used in the completion of the online program.
*The online version of M-300 Ethics for Managers course does not come with hard copies of reference materials. All materials are included online.
