Course Registration Information
It is extremely important that you register at least three weeks prior to the start of the course to receive. After your registration and payment are processed, you will be sent an e-mail confirming the date, time, and location of the seminar.
Enrollment
Enrollment is limited for all courses. Register early to ensure your place in class. If the course is closed (full), you will be placed on a waiting list and contacted if someone cancels. Once a course is closed, walk-ins will not be accepted.
Explanation of Course Fees
Member and non-member fees for each course are listed on the registration form. CAI launched the Association of Professional Community Managers (APCM) to further enhance CAI's ability to provide professional development opportunities for community managers. The PMDP program falls within the auspices of APCM. Effective July 1, 2005, ONLY individual manager and primary contacts for management company members of CAI (who enjoy access to APCM) may take 200-, 300-, and 400-level courses at the member price. ANY member of CAI may take the M-100 course at the member rate.

Attendance
To receive credit for a course, registrants must attend the full duration of the course.
Home Study Exam
All registrants for the M-100 Home Study, whether online or manual-based, are provided with an exam deadline. You must take your exam within three months (90 days) of registering for the manual-based course or 90 days from first log in to the online course. CAI will provide one extension for written requests received at least five days prior to the exam date. Subsequent to the original exam date, you will be able to schedule an exam for a fee of $50 for the first year, after which you will be required to purchase the M-100 Home Study program at full tuition price. There are no refunds for the Home Study program.
Availability of Test Results
The M-100 and all 200-level courses include a multiple-choice examination. The M-100 exam consists of 100 questions and the 200-level exams consist of at least 45 questions. Students are notified of examination results via regular mail within six weeks following the date of a course. To protect student confidentiality, CAI policy provides examination results only to the student and only in writing. No grades will be released via telephone, fax, or email.
Special Accommodations
If you require special accommodations to participate fully, please attach a written description to your registration form. All requests for special accommodations must be received a minimum of two weeks prior to the course date.
Retests
If you score below 70 percent on a final examination, you can take the test again for a fee of $50. You have the opportunity to retake the test during the scheduled examination time for any local PMDP course in which you are not enrolled as a student. You may also re-test at your local CAI chapter office if preferred. You must retake the exam within 60 days after notification of your exam results. All requests for retests must be received in writing. Review the retest process and application form below. If you fail the retest, you will be required to retake the course at the full tuition rate.
