About CAI Chapters

Community Associations Institute has 57 chapters throughout the United States serving more than 26,000 members. Each chapter has its own menu of programs and services and ranges in size from 50 to over 1100 members. Chapters serve geographic areas, entire states, and multiple states. Some chapters have professional staff and some are administered solely by volunteer efforts.

CAI strives to adapt to change and we routinely revisit our priorities, services, and structure. As ONE organization, we continue to strive to meet the needs of our members and the industry.

Chapters provide a variety of membership services, which may include:

  • Professional community manager development programming
  • Community association board member education programming
  • Networking opportunities for professional service providers serving community associations
  • Newsletters or magazines providing the latest information and resources for community operations and community management
  • Communication with local legislatures on issues affecting community associations
  • Local public relations and community service campaigns
  • Forums for exchange of professional information
  • Membership directories
  • Direct connection/liaison to the national office
