Business Partner

Your membership total includes your membership dues ($575), the mandatory advocacy support fee ($25)* and an optional contribution to the Foundation for Community Association Research ($25)**.​

Homeowner Leader—Individual Membership

Your membership total includes your membership dues ($115), the mandatory advocacy support fee ($15)* and an optional contribution to the Foundation for Community Association Research ($10)**.​

Homeowner Leader—Board Membership

​Board Size (2+) - Your membership total includes your membership dues ($260), the mandatory advocacy support fee ($45)* and an optional contribution to the Foundation for Community Association Research ($15)**.

Management Company

Your membership total includes your membership dues ($415), the mandatory advocacy support fee ($25)* and an optional contribution to the Foundation for Community Association Research ($20)**.

Manager

​Your membership total includes your membership dues ($125​), the mandatory advocacy support fee ($20)* and an optional contribution to the Foundation for Community Association Research ($10)**.

Multi-Chapter

Your membership total includes your multi-chapter membership dues ($300 per chapter), the mandatory advocacy support fee ($25 per chapter)* and an optional contribution to the Foundation for Community Association Research ($20 per chapter)**.

 

IMPORTANT TAX INFORMATION: Under the provisions of section 1070(a) of the Revenue Act passed by Congress in 12/87, please note that gifts to CAI are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. However, they may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses subject to restrictions imposed as a result of association lobbying activities. CAI estimates that the non-deductible portion of your dues is 17%. 

For specific guidelines concerning your particular tax situation, consult a tax professional. CAI's Federal ID number is 23-7392984. $39 of annual membership dues is for your non-refundable subscription to Common Ground™.

*ADVOCACY SUPPORT FEE—Every dollar of the mandatory Advocacy Support fee goes directly to states with Legislative Action Committees and supports the efforts of CAI to represent and protect our members on state legislative and regulatory efforts.

**THE FOUNDATION FOR COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION RESEARCH CONTRIBUTION—The foundation operates on behalf of the industry and conducts surveys and research, provides national programming, and produces a variety of publications including the series of Best Practice reports. Donations to the Foundation are tax deductible.  If you would like to change the optional foundation contribution, please contact CAI​ to request a new notice.
